Tato the Mighty Tater Tot

Introducing the newest member of our little family - Tato (as in po-tato). Ava named him thus after we spent an evening trying to decide a name for our new puppy. I was listing off silly names and when I suggested "potato," Ava laughed and replied, "No! He's a goggie, not a tato!" When we went to pick him up he was such a little mush-faced chubba, all round and sweet, we had no choice. Tato it is.

For those of you who are wondering, he's a boston terrier. His parents are 16 and 20 pounds so he should be in that range; however, he's only about 5 pounds right now. The crazy thing about puppies is that they grow super fast. We've had him for a little over a week and I can already see that he's bigger.

So far Tato has been such a dream dog. Ok, so he still poops, pees, chews, nips, and (heavens no!) farts, but he's so great with the girls who pick him up, tug on him, and steal his toys. He also sleeps through the night, knows "sit" and is doing pretty well with potty training. He loves to cuddle and snorts like a pig when he's excited. He absolutely has no idea that he's a little dog. After our sweet little schnoodle Charlie tragically died two months ago, Tato is now managing to mend our hearts. We love him - even Tyler!
