Differences
My girls are so different from one another. They got their flu shots this morning. Ava cried the whole way to the doctor's office and had to be held down for the shot. As soon as it was over, she realized that it wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it would be, and was smiling again within seconds. Lilly could have cared less about getting a shot, but cried for about an hour after the fact. Ava said, "I think Lilly is afraid of the doctor now." Lilly corrected her saying, "I'm not scared of the doctor. I'm just scared of the shots." Glad she can still make that distinction.

Labor Day in the City

We spent Labor Day up in San Francisco. The Bay Bridge was closed and the weather was gorgeous, so we had a beautiful/not too crowded day. We hit China town for some fun shopping (Lilly picked out purple slippers and Ava picked a seahorse sealed in resin) and then took the trolley to the wharf for some ice cream and beach time. We ended the day with a stop at House of Nanking, because Ava was craving dumplings and you can't go wrong with House of Nanking.

Pregnant Moments of the Week
1. Pouring orange juice on my cereal.
2. Paying for groceries and walking out the door with the groceries still on the counter.
3. Walking around with a line of water, flour, and what-not across my belly, right at counter level.

GOOOOL!!!
It's not gross, it's LOVE
Lilly asked me if I kissed her daddy on the lips when we got married. I said yes, to which she said, "Gross!" Ava corrected her saying, "It's not gross, it's LOVE."

What I should be doing
I should be cleaning my house. Or running errands. I'm just going to sit on the couch instead. Just for a minute, since that's all I really have. Now that school has started and the girls are starting all their various activities, my days are spent shuttling the girls from place to place and it's a little hectic. I'm missing last year's schedule when they went to the same school at the same time. They also had dance, gymnastics and swim lessons at the the same time. I realize that I'm a total novice. Once the girls get older and we have another one, I will probably long for these days when I get to sit on the couch for 5 minutes. So that's what I'm doing.
