"I feel like an old lady taking her medication."

That's what I said to Tyler this morning when I woke up and had to take my new thyroid medication on my 30th birthday. I decided I needed a real physical since I hadn't had one since before I went on my mission and I would be turning 30. That was yesterday, and it definitely added insult to injury to learn that not only was I exiting my 20's, but it was coupled with thyroid problems. Tyler teased me by giving me one of those daily pill boxes this morning, which I guess I'll have to use for the rest of my life now. How old does that make me feel?!

But honestly, I don't really mind turning 30. I have two kids and drive a minivan, right? Now when people tell me that I look much too young to have kids I can proudly tell them that, despite my youthful looks, I'm in my 30's :) I also doubt that a measly thyroid problem will slow me down. My parents both have it (thanks for passing it on!) and they're off biking through China right now.

Happy Birthday Mindy!

For what its worth, when Brian and I went on road trip a week ago, I brought an extra bag for all of our medicine and vitamins. Granted it was only 7 bottles, but enough to feel like senior citizen with an extra bag.

Hey Mindy,
Here's how you rationalize the pill box. Do like I do. I fill the individual boxes, but just take them in order regardless of the day. That way, the boxes only become a convenience, not a memory aid.
