10 Years Later

Yesterday, I kept thinking about how much my life had changed in the last ten years and how much I've accomplished in that time. I served a mission, graduated from BYU, worked, went to graduate school, got married, taught high school, bought and built a house, had two kids...wow! When I entered my twenties I knew I had a lot ahead of me, but in retrospect I can really see the enormity of the options I had and choices I made during those years.

10 years ago I celebrated my 20th birthday in London. I was enjoying the freedom of being able to run around that fabulous city with even wonderful friends. I felt like a new person with all of the possibilities of the world within reach. Here is a picture of me at the BYU London Centre on the big day:

Tyler and I always joke about how "glamorous" my life is right now. My days are spent going to the park, doing laundry, chasing kids and changing diapers. But while I may not be entering the most life-changing years with tons of freedom and little responsibility, I wouldn't change what I have now for anything. I felt plenty glamorous celebrating the big day in my back yard, surrounded by family and friends, and proving to the world that I can still whack a pinata.
