Last Day of Soccer Class

Ava spent very little time during her soccer classes doing this:

She spent most of her time doing this:

Needless to say, we didn't sign up for another session. She'd much rather wear a tutu than have to chase after a ball. All I can say is that I tried.

Don't give up just yet. There is plenty of home video of me on the soccer field talking to my friends, doing cartwheels, picking dandelions, or running a good 10-15 feet behind everyone else. Year after year I got a bit more intense and competitive until I finally allowed my family to come watch when I played in 9th grade. It only took 10 years so keep it up! :D

I love it:) Well, at least you gave it a shot. Tutu's and ballet class aren't too bad. At least you get orange slices at the soccer games.

Last year, when Isaac was on an indoor soccer team, he was in the middle of an intense game. All of the kids were running in a pack, trying to move the ball down the court. When it finally disbursed we looked around for Isaac, who was nowhere to be seen. Finally, Chris nudged me and pointed to a kid standing by the wall with his back toward us, behind the other team's goal. When he turned around, he had a balloon hanging out of his mouth, that, in the heat of the moment, he had decided he really needed to pull out of his pocket and blow up. He also spent a great deal of time just sitting in the middle of the court or tripping and falling on purpose because, as he put it, "You can slide really good on those shiny floors mom".
Good luck!!
