The second half of Christmas break was a little more relaxing than the first part. After cleaning up from Christmas the day before and packing up, Tyler and Naomi got sick. We postponed our trip another day and eventually made it up to Tahoe before the next storm hit the mountains, but not before having to stop for a rock-chip repair on the way.
The snow was piled high and we even got snowed in a few times, but still managed to go sledding, skiing, ice skating, and such. The kids had a high tolerance of the cold, and were constantly getting wrapped up to go play outside for hours, even when it was blizzarding. When we weren't outside braving the snow, we sat around warm fires, roasted marshmallows, played games, read, napped, and all that fun stuff. It was nothing short of lovely.
