"I don't know how such a homely face can be so cute."

I overheard my dad saying this tonight. I sure hope he was talking about Tato and not one of the kids. For the record, I think he's a handsome devil. Not homely at all.

Mindy, somebody once said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I must admit that there is a certain charm…

Recently, Alysha and I were in a trendy San Diego pet store and Boston Terriers were very popular. Also popular were dogs with names that were a blend of their reflective breed. A “Puggle” is a cross between a Pug and a Beagle. A “Chihoodle” is a cross between a Chihuahua and a poodle. Since I am new to this nomenclature I am wondering if a “Collapso” (Collie + Lhasa Apso) could be easily folded for transport. Would a “Poinsetter” (Pointer + Setter) make a good Christmas dog? Does a “Peekasso” (Pekignese + Lhasa Apso) have a square head and five abstract limbs? I bet a “Newfound Asset Hound” (Newfoundland + Basset Hound) would be a good dog for financial advisors. I bet if you cross a Spitz and a Chow Chow you get a dog that throws up a lot; I’d call it a “Spitz-Chow” (wouldn’t sell very well).

Also featured in the aforementioned pet store were astronomical price tags. I was blown away by the fact that people will spend 800 bucks and up for a dog! I love dogs as much as the next person (but not as much as Mindy) but I will pass up the puppy who has a sign on its cage that reads “Financing available”.

Love the blog… Keep it commin’
