Sitting in Ava's school cubby today was something I've been dreading as a parent. It was the letter that says your child may have been exposed to head lice. Gross!
After a careful inspection this evening, Ava celebrated by jumping up and down all over my bed, chanting, "Yeah! I don't have head lice!"

That is so cute. (The jumping on the bed saying Yeah! part, not the having to inspect part!)
birkley came home the other day saying they had checked a few kids for "slice"! it took me forever to figure out she was talking about lice and then i freaked out! luckily..it was just a routine check! i thought it was hilarious she called it "slice" though!
